Product Designer
Upasna Sharma
Carnegie Mellon alum with Masters in Integrated Innovation for Products and Services, which focuses on Design, Tech and Business. I am passionate about crafting joyful experiences. I specialise in making complex workflows intuitive for users.
Ever since I can remember, I’ve been curious about how people perceive and interact with the world around them. That curiosity led me to transition into the field of Human-Computer Interaction. I made the shift from working as an IT Auditor to becoming a designer.
My design philosophy is rooted in creating experiences that reduce cognitive load, especially in a world where people are constantly overwhelmed by endless choices, notifications, and competing demands for attention. I believe design should bring clarity rather than complexity, helping users focus on what matters most without feeling mentally drained. I’m particularly passionate about simplifying complex workflows so that different tools, systems, and technologies can integrate seamlessly into people’s personal and professional lives. Good design should feel intuitive, adaptable, and almost invisible—supporting users in achieving their goals with minimal friction. Ultimately, I strive to create solutions that are not only functional and efficient, but also thoughtful, empowering, and human-centered.
I love finding inspiration in the world around me, whether that means visiting museums, exploring art galleries, or simply noticing the small details of everyday life. Creativity often comes from experiences, which is why I enjoy photography as a way to capture moments, perspectives, and stories. I also love meeting new people, discovering different cities, and immersing myself in new cultures through their history, traditions, and food. Exploring places through local flavors is one of my favorite ways to connect with them. And no matter where I go, I’ll always have a special appreciation for classics like New York City pizza and a perfectly made matcha.
